Bhanu Shrivastav is a visual artist whose practice spans printmaking, painting, performance and installation. He completed his Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Government College of Art, Chandigarh (2022) and a Master of Visual Arts from the Sarojini Naidu School of Arts and Communication, Hyderabad (2024).
Shrivastav’s practice is rooted in experimentation, often blending traditional printmaking with contemporary modes of expression such as performance and site-responsive installation. His works explore shifting cultural, social and ecological conditions, using material processes as a means of inquiry. Drawing from observation, personal experiences and collective histories, he engages art as a tool to question perceptions of identity, memory, and human relationships with the environment.
He has participated in international exhibitions including the International Biennial Print Exhibit at the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Art (2022), the Third International Print Biennale, Armenia (2021) and the 21st International Print Biennial, Varna, Bulgaria (2021). Nationally, his works have been presented at Dashak Exhibition (Chandigarh Museum & Bihar Museum, 2024) and Living a Dark Night curated by Paula Sengupta (Vadodara, 2022). Recipient of the Immerse Fellowship+Residency (2025) and the Kala Sakshi Memorial Trust Art Scholarship (2022–23), Shrivastav has also undertaken residencies at Hissa Art Space (Surat, 2024) and Nine Fish Art Gallery (Mumbai, 2023).
