Sanivada Lakshman Kumar was born in 1991 in Andhra Pradesh, India. He is a visual artist with a Bachelor’s degree in Sculpture from Andhra University, Visakhapatnam (2014), and a Master’s degree in Sculpture from Kala Bhavana, Santiniketan (2016). Since 2016, he has been steadily pursuing a career as a full-time visual artist.
His work has been featured in several notable group exhibitions, including Edges Remain (2023), curated by Santhosh Sadrak; Sonder (2022–2023) at Cube Art Space, Kochi (through Vis A Vis Studios, Baroda); the Shimisha Annual Art Show (2022) by Shimisha Studio at the Faculty of Fine Arts, M.S. University, Baroda; and Andhra Aesthetics (2020) by the Foundation of Art & Culture, Bhopal, among others.
In 2022–2024, he was awarded a Junior Fellowship by the Ministry of Culture, Centre for Cultural Resources and Training. He also received the S.W.A.D. award for sculpture (2014–15) and the Young Artist Scholarship from the Ministry of Culture, Government of India.
The artist lives and works in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India.
